James B. Rice about the Supply Chain Financial Analysis workshop

What will the workshop cover?

Supply chain and finance are two core functions of every business. The success of business is often measured in financial terms, and supply chain management is no exception to it. Supply chain professionals use different metrics and indicators to measure performance. Understanding how these metrics and indicators function is an asset for every supply chain professional who must speak the language of finance in order to communicate achievements to top management. In this workshop, supply chain professionals learn how supply chain and finance interact and what can be gathered for operations and finance by analysing the activities from a financial perspective.

Over the 2-day programme, we will look at:

  • Activity Based Costing
  • ABC Cost systems
  • Activity Based Costing Case Study
  • Tradeoff analysis
  • Supply Chain Finance
  • Supply Chain Finance Case Study
  • Working Capital in Supply Chains
  • Cash Conversion Cycle
  • Working Capital activities.

What our participants say about the Executive education programme

“As a young professional, and a graduate in Supply Chain Management and Economics, the LCL Supply Chain Financial Analysis Workshop provided me with the superb opportunity to refresh and extend my knowledge in this area. The workshop was not only useful from a financial theory perspective but the dynamic exchange of experience and perspectives from all participants with diverse backgrounds and seniorities within the profession was extremely useful.

It was fantastic to have academic expertise from MIT available in Luxembourg at the historical university campus at Limpertsberg. We were well looked after throughout the day, allowing us to focus on learning. I look forward to joining future offerings from the LCL Executive Education portfolio.”

Johannes Hesse, Project Coordinator at IEE S.A. and YPL² Chairman
